Although the title of this blog post says tiktok, I think we can generally agree that every now and then there will be a new social media platform as we continue to advance digitally. This means that the cycle of learning and understanding platforms will continue in to the future and we need to make peace with this.
What does this really mean for the marketer? Well, as a start, it means that the learning cycle continues and we need to develop a process that allows us to stay on top of what is happening. The output (staying on top) should not be the main goal, but the goal should be a process that allows to understand our respective eco systems at any given time. Learn, experiment and then improve is the cycle that we need to adopt.
We can't start out by wanting to stay on top of what is happening at an specific platform, as that won't necessarily yield the results. We start out by building a process that will future proof the work that we do at the required speed that we function at.
